SuperCat - Catalog and Control Your Library
Catalog Your Library SuperCat will create a catalog for a library of books. The functions include: Adding Books, Deleting (or undeleting) Books, Editing the Data for Any Book, Printing Catalog Cards in Various Formats, Searching for and Displaying or Printing Information, Sorting the Catalog Information for any Type Data.
You may store information by author (1 or 2 separate authors per book), title, subject (up to 3 separate subjects per book), call number, publisher, publication date, acquisition date, and price, and other fields of information. The catalog cards use a 3x5 format. Create formats for 3 x 5 cards or for 8 1/2 x 11 listings. You can have large libraries, up to 50,000 books.
An advanced indexing system lets you index on multiple fields. For example, you could index on author and title to get an alphabetical list of an author's books. Other advanced features include a password security system (optional use) and keyword searches for books, fields for ISBN number and book location. Has these additional features. Ready- to-use circulation system for controlling and reporting on books checked out. Records who has borrowed what book, on what date, and info about the borrower.
Get reports of the books checked out, ones overdue and books by borrower. Prints overdue notices. Separate borrower database for name, address, telephone and other info. Select from a menu of predefined reports for quick, automatic generation of the most needed types of reports. The book database can be exported to text (ASCII) formats for use by other programs.
