Bearings - Which Way Do We Go from Here?
This program is for pilots, skippers, radio amateurs or anyone needing to know precise bearings or great circle directions from one location to another. It's also an interesting lesson in geography. You input latitude and longitude and then the computer calculates and prints out directions and distances to over 500 locations around the globe.
The usual azimuth system is used, with 0 degrees as north, 90 as east, 180 as south, 270 as west, etc. You may also specify any two locations on Earth and get the distance apart and the direction from one location to another. Great for aligning your antenna to pull in those DX stations, or for navigators (real or armchair).
Find out which way to go to get to Bora-Bora from your house! Output is ordered by country and city and includes amateur prefixes for each region. An interesting and useful program.
